Partnered with NCR to design a Network Information Warehouse able to identify and forecast the capacity of heterogeneous central office hardware for BellSouth, improving ROI by $17 million the first year. The Network Information Warehouse (NIW) was designed to monitor voice traffic patterns and forecast the capacity of the heterogeneous central office hardware (telecommunication switches from vendors like Lucent, Nortel, Alcatel, and Siemens) for Bell South Telecommunications (BST). NIW integrated seven legacy systems that sourced data from more than 1600 central offices located in nine Southeastern United States. The project was completed successfully and it exceeded customer expectations in return on investment, improving ROI by $17 million in the first year alone. This project is currently in its seventh year of production and has extended its scope by measuring telecommunication trunk capabilities. |
