Telecommunications Inventory and Billing |

The DataTech Group was able to salvage existing information systems and data sources and deploy a web-based, telecommunications billing solution for DOD-wide user base. The DataTech Group’s technical expertise and focus on the Defense Information Technology Compliance Office’s specific needs resulted in improved system usability and clarity. Utilizing a billing system designed in the 1970’s, DITCO needed an improved process to accurately project telecommunications costs and revenues for program management, financial reporting, rate development, and budget development for both internal and external customers. Billing was reported as the number one concern among customers; DITCO knew they had to improve billing timeliness, accuracy, and clarity. The DataTech Group succeeded in improving a system that was complex and fragmented. Integrating old data with a new design, we created the efficiency and clarity required of a new billing system. In fact, this system’s popularity has grown and is now widely used among the DOD.
